Cacao and Clay Workshop Santa Monica

  • ARTime Barro 302 Pico Boulevard Santa Monica, CA, 90405 United States (map)

Step into a realm where ancient Mexican traditions intertwine with modern creative expression. In our "Cacao and Clay" workshop, we invite you to an intentional gathering where we honor the rich tapestry of Mexican culture and history.

Your journey begins with a heart-opening cacao ceremony, guided by a traditional healer. Allow the sacred elixir of cacao to awaken your senses and center your spirit as you prepare to delve into the realm of creativity. Through meditation, we'll tap into the wellspring of inspiration that flows within each of us, igniting the spark of imagination.

With the energy and warmth of the cacao, we transition into the art of ceramic creation. Guided by experienced artisans, you'll learn the ancient techniques of pottery-making, connecting with the earth and the elements as you shape and mold your very own vessel.

At the heart of our workshop lies the creation of the most ancestral vessel in this world – the bowl. As you fashion your clay masterpiece, you'll infuse it with the intention and reverence of generations past, honoring the legacy of those who came before us.

All materials needed for this transformative experience are provided, and no previous pottery experience is required. Whether you're a seasoned artisan or a novice explorer, "Cacao and Clay" offers a sanctuary for creative expression and cultural connection. Join us as we journey together through the realms of tradition, ceremony, and artistry, weaving a tapestry of heritage and inspiration with every stroke of the clay.
